2001 BMW 330CI Custom Turbo

This is one of our personal projects for Jeremiah’s BMW. We had developed the car to be a blend of grip/drift driving with alterations made to the suspension components. Unfortunately, despite traveling all the way from Canada, to Portland for auto cross, and all the way down and across to Florida, the engine finally gave up while drifting. So naturally, it was time to build the engine up to the same level as the suspension.

Not the same engine mind you. No, that engine snapped both camshafts, welding steel to aluminum and unstraightened some valves. After sourcing a new engine with low miles, sending it to be cleaned and prepped for boost, Jeremiah got to work fabricating a custom low mount twin-scroll turbo manifold. Below you will see the progression of his efforts.
